Ayman Dawud peerless in Ozerki GP

Early on the stage, five optimistic riders attacked on the first climbs of Ozerki GP. They managed to keep a gap between them and the peloton until they reached the final climb. At the bottom of the climb, the group of favourites passed them. Rider by rider, they couldn't keep up with the tempo set by y0y0y17, who were supporting Gillis Walregt. Right behind the riders of y0y0y17 was Ayman Dawud and Luca Aerssen lurking. Gillis Walregt looked strong, and seemed to have a good day, but when Luca Aerssen launched an attack, only Ayman Dawud could follow. Ayman Dawud made a counter-attack and was suddenly alone in the front, as Gillis Walregt caught up Luca Aerssen once again. Ayman Dawud secured his victory without problems, while Gillis Walregt was faster in the sprint than Luca Aerssen.
Ayman Dawud was happy for his efforts today. It was a tough day today, but with the result of it, it suddenly feels like nothing. I'm so happy I won today. I didn't expect it at all, said the pleased winner.
It's good to see Ayman Dawud fulfilling his ambitions winning this stage. He deserves the victory more than anyone else, said the proud manager of KVM ProCycling Team, Jacques Streelers, and continued: The team was a good support for him (Ayman Dawud) today, and he clearly proved his worth in the break away today.
