Calisto Pereira proves to be in good fitness

With lovely weather in Finland, all the riders were ready to do their best in Heim Imatra - and som certainly did. Clément Perrier from Un Deux Trois Racing went away from the peloton after only 11 km.
The peloton kept the tempo high, and Clément Perrier slowly lost his lead. When the peloton reached him, after 11 2 km, Calisto Pereira (Rapid Rianad) and Salif Aïdara (ultima fila) launched a counter attack. Clément Perrier's first attempt didn't stop him from joining the break away, which afterwards slowly increased the lead.
When 10 km of the stage were left, the three riders in the break away were quite sure to go all the way to the finishing line alone. Their thoughts later became doubts, as the peloton got closer and closer. On the final kilometre, the 3 riders could see the peloton behind them, as they gave everything they could.
Salif Aïdara launched an attack, which Clément Perrier easily countered despite his hard work on the stage. For Calisto Pereira it was a littler harder to follow, but later he simply proved to be faking. Salif Aïdara couldn't follow the new tempo set by Calisto Pereira, and neither could Clément Perrier. Calisto Pereira safely sprinted to victory and raised his arms while crossing the finishing line. Behind him, about the length of two bikes away, Clément Perrier was slightly faster than Salif Aïdara, who seemed to have no more power left after trying to attack earlier.
Calisto Pereira was happy for his efforts today. It was a tough day today, but with the result of it, it suddenly feels like nothing. I'm so happy I won today. I didn't expect it at all, said the pleased winner.
Rapid Rianad's manager, Rianad, was satisfied after the result in Heim Imatra. Calisto Pereira did very well today. Everything turned out as we planned it, and Calisto Pereira had the power to win, said the manager.
