Many climbs, a sunny day and several attacks shaped the race in Circuit Bacau. One after another, the riders tried to break away from the main group, though no one could succeed. When the final climb was near, Tvøroyrar Bóltfelag and Dino Guerrero made sure no one could attack by setting a high tempo in the lead. At the end of the climb, only the strongest climbers were in front. With 1.5 kilometres to go, (Hipno Team) launched an attack, which Dino Guerrero (gisk3333) and Vikar Vigfussson (Tvøroyrar Bóltfelag) easily countered. Gedeão Mesquita lost Dino Guerrero's wheel when the sprint was launched, and Vikar Vigfussson had a close sprint with Dino Guerrero. Vikar Vigfussson was the fastest in the sprint, leaving Dino Guerrero only a few inches behind. Gedeão Mesquita, who had no power left for the sprint, secured his third place only 3 seconds later. I'm happy the team picked me for the stage. I knew I could do it (win), and I wanted to prove it as well, said the happy winner who continued with a smile on his face: My preparations were perfect, I had a perfect day, and I won!. It's good to see Vikar Vigfussson fulfilling his ambitions winning this stage. He deserves the victory more than anyone else, said the proud manager of Tvøroyrar Bóltfelag, James, and continued: The team was a good support for him (Vikar Vigfussson) today, and he clearly proved his worth in the break away today.
