Paolo Danas shake-up

The many climbs in Esquel Climbs didn't give any good ideas for the riders. No riders attacked the entire stage through. When the final climb was near, the strongest riders settled themselves in front of the peloton. Woogadler took a confident lead, supporting Paolo Danas. The devistating tempo set by Woogadler crushed rider by rider. When Paolo Danas ran out of supporting riders, he had only 3 other competitors to beat. One of them, Grant Whitney (Laders), launched a quick attack and managed to sit a lone in front for a short time. He only had Paolo Danas and Archibald Waxler (caƱuelas) behind him now. Grant Whitney could not keep the tempo high, and eventually, both Paolo Danas and Archibald Waxler passed him by.
Archibald Waxler launched the sprint, but Paolo Danas outrunned him and became the winner.
I'm happy the team picked me for the stage. I knew I could do it (win), and I wanted to prove it as well, said the happy winner who continued with a smile on his face: My preparations were perfect, I had a perfect day, and I won!.
The stage couldn't turn out any better than this. Paolo Danas did a perfect job today, said Mark Schieber, manager of Woogadler, after the race.
