Bali Classic - A Preview

   Bali Classic

A strong field of climbers will battle out for the win in the Nigerian classic. Four climbs and with a tough final climb will challenges the best climbers of 6th division in the OCM Tour. Some old and familiar teams on the staring line as well.

  The Weather
Strong wind with 22,3m/s. This is going to put the riders on a tough test.

  The Contenders
   Collier Sisemore (Phantasia Team)

He’ll be one of many riders fighting for a podium spot, but if the Bermudian could attack at the right moment he might win it.

   Vicentiu Olaroiu (shok2)
A promising young Romanian climber, but it might be some years to early for the 21 year old. A potential top 9 finish would be a great result for him.

   Robert Hammerstein (eagles wings)
Current level is good, but not good enough to win the classic. He’ll be one of many riders fighting for a podium spot.

   Phil Lamb (Rushstar Racers)
The 30 year old won this year Uttendorf - Matrei in Osttirol, could he win two classics in one season? Its going to be pretty hard for the American with so many good climbers in the field.

   Ezequiel Montolio (NightmareChaos)
A dark horse for the win, could the Colombian with a win in 1st division this season surprise Lasimbra and Pettinato at the final climb? Got lot of experience to support him and has a ace up his sleeve with the strong wind condition.

   Pasquale Lalsimbra (BGK Cycling

Team)
The former winner of Tour of the Sanreizan and Monte Rosa Tour is one of the two big favourites to win the classic. The Italian looks to have timed his form perfectly for this race.

   Caspar Rouet (Cycling Cows)
Came into this week off the back of a good performance in Tian-Shen Stone City Cup. His 6th place in cup did show that his current form is good, and he’ll be hoping to challenge for his first ever trophy. Like many riders, he’ll be looking at Lasimbra and Pettinato and wondering just how he’ll beat them.

   Voravut Sangsanoi (Trim Trust Energy)
The darling of the Thai fans, can Sangsanoi land the Bali Classic win? He know the route better then most of his rivals, but I just can’t see him beating riders who are currently in better form than him.

   Tobias Pettinato (Vegemight)
The Brazilian has enjoyed a good season, winning the Braga - Pitões das Júnias and Whakataetae o te Ahi ka Ao. Given his current form, he is one of two to win the race, but can he handle the pressure? His team are strong, he is strong, the others must be scared.

   Riste Nikolovski (Velosipedska)
Still just 24, he has many years ahead of him. His current level is still strong enough to compete for the podium. Already won the Youth Classification of Odyssey of the Oryx this season, and a 4th in the Austrian classic Uttendorf - Matrei in Osttirol.

   Rory Toon (FC BIRN)
A bit odd climber type, that both like the climbs and the cobbles. Don’t think the young Englishman is good enough to win, but could be a man for the top 9.
