Hi and welcome! If the first edition of the U23 World Championships was just ok, this year the races will be insane! Lots of young beasts at the start which can announce their candidature for becoming the next generation of OCM stars.

We are in Brazil this year and the conditions are of course, not the best ones. The hotels aren't that clean and modern as stated in the BBC advert. Lots of people claimed about them, but it looks like the one who arranged all this things, Nick Lissner, has no phone number...even no phone...whatever...

Let's meet now some beasts which can't wait to arrive home. The TT race is the first so the TT'sts are the first one to leave Brazil right after the race:

Portugal Hermano Montenegro (Yuri Super Team)

This guy is clearly the main favourite. A rider with such stats and RV near 300k really needs no presentation. His manager,Yuri,is pretty confident... Probably he didn't see Hermano last night alone with sone girls in a bar...

   Romania Ernest Chircus (DCM)

He was scouted one month ago by mapei bianchi. He didn't take him because of the only 190+TT

potential. Look at him now... And still not maxed. As a romanian he is clean of course...

Belgium Carel Pulix (AK Pro Race)

Carel Pulix always wanted to be free. With 87 in FR I think he is now free enough. No wife, no kids, no responsabilities... as I said... free.

Another riders which can surprise the crowds are Toli Azaria, Jorn Vreeswijk, Bohumir Stankovic and Cosmin Rogojan (added him for Andeby's proud). If one of these guys will have good legs in the race, he will surely win, keeping in mind that all the favourites will have off days...

The riders from the road race will leave one day later...

We find here guys who will surely dominate the future in OCM:

   Netherlands Jesse Goossens (Il Grillo)

Goo Gossens! Il Grillo wants another jersey before he retires from the game... He will be back hopefully... Both Goosens and stoosh.

   Romania Gregorian Jurca;))) (Bilal)

No presentation... Look at his stats and you'll remain like this o.o....

   Italy Francesco Joinoe (Drollevangers)

Francesco looks to be the next Lamattina. Let's see if he can win a World Championship only with spaghetti and pizza in stomach...

   Belgium Hugo Boemans (Gradient Levellers)

How many young sprinters have the belgians now? I'm sorry for them, they will leave in Hugo's shadow their hole career... He has all what he needs, excepting hair.

   Norway Robert Reitan (Alpine)

Robert was born in Norway so the temperature in Brazil doesn't fit him. But who knows if he always dreamed to be in a warm place?

   Belgium Didier Degandt (Team Jan)

I guess his manager is very happy to have him. It's all what I would like to have: a great rider with a great name.

Goodbye and have a great week and follow the best young battle ever!

  Nice!

It is good for Ernest and Gregorian that the Brazilian bars don't have the plum brandy we know Romanians like so much. You can find infornation about it here as it has no translation in English (it is that good) - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/P%C3%A1linka
