Yesterday was a day not easy to forget for me. It was a Friday evening, stepping into the spring of 2017. I was waiting and in the meantime dining at an Italian restaurant. The service was mediocure and I would not recommend it if you happen to be around there. Being a manager of a team on the OCM calender I keep in touch with the things happening here on my mobile phone. A message appeared, as I had put this date in my calender, OCM 10 years.
I was about to write a cool article, just like I did when this game turned five. To praise Nick, salute the community, ponder on my results in the past, fantasize about | | future achievements and perhaps some rant about not enough tours in lower divisions. But instead I was sitting in this Italian restaurant, alone, on a small table in the middle of the room where everybody could see me, eating my pasta and typing messages on my telephone.
I do not know what people think, when they see somebody, alone in a restaurant, watching his phone. But for me it did not matter, I checked in on the chat, and had a few words there. Looked if somebody made an offer on my nice talent that I received in the 10 year talent feature thing. Just normal OCM stuff. Some do it daily, others do it less. But we all do it.
Here I was, thinking
| | about the people who talked about the Award winners from season 39, with jokes, music and other nice things. Articles to be written and races to race, and yes, I did check my tactics. You can not check your tactics enough.
I have been with OCM for more than 6 years and thought, 6 years for a game so simple, that is quite an achievement. And some of us have been here longer.
I did not think anything else, actually. I had a date that evening, that is even better than OCM. But that worked out fine and now I am writing this little piece to say thanks, thanks for all the talents, victories and laughs we had on this game. And I hope we will see another 10 years together
