Six countries within 20 points of eachother, that bodes well for the rest of the season. Unsurprisingly, it was Dean Van Der Meer from the Netherlands who scored yet another World Tour victory. This legend has done 8(!) races for his national team, of which he won four and finished second once. Also, he has won four different World Tour races. I don’t know if this has been done often, but I highly doubt it. Bermuda finished in the top 2 of Bukarest – Sinaia for the fifth time in the

row, this time taking advantage of Milburn Pierce’s top form. In third place we had another podium for the King of France, Pierre-Antoine Redon, who just keeps piling on the podium places. This was his seventh already and the second time in this race.

In Division-B, the Classica Verona brought us the second victory in the race for New Zealander Mils Rodda, former double winner of Volta ao Porto and Vuelta de los Castillos. This season’s winner of Volta ao Porto, Colombian Migueo Bernal finished second in his first

international appearance, while Jarmain Moutang ended up in third place for South Africa.

Finally, in Division-C, we had the opening race of the season, Sapporo – Mount Asahi. Prokhor Bulgakov from Kyrgyzstan won convincingly, in front of Long Dong from Hong Kong (I’m still laughing every time I see this name :D) and Burhan Isa, who won a podium result in the first ever international race for the United Arab Emirates, well done guys! Next week we’ll continue our coverage with the best week of the season, CoN week.
