It has been a busy week with a lot of important races for the various teams at the OCM calender. Most classics were raced in Europe and the tours have been in Essex and America. The thing we have learned from this week is that it is youth that gives you a future. And it was again decent without many crazy stuff going around on the various media regarding OCM and its followers

   Antwerpen – Huy

With the weather turning cold and the rain sweeps over the streets it is when the riders are getting nervous. Antwerpen – Huy is about to start and this race over cobbled streets through Flanders always has a heroic final in Huy. The big Mur is always ready to squeese out that final piece of perceverance. It was the Italian Camata of IndieRock who was the best of the field claiming a nice victory.

  1. Andrea Camata, IndieRock
  2. Gilles Untereiner, V02maXXers
  3. Vilayvanh Vannaseng, Asymm Project

   Lappi Sea GP

In Finland we have a few classics and the classic around Lappi Sea is for the hillers in the peloton. The hills around Lappi Sea are known for their rolling nature, they come and go and the only thing other than hills around here are lakes. The big glass trophy is lifted by Fleming Lloyd from Fissa. The Manx man finished solo and claimed a great victory for his team, winning their first trophy.

   Grasse – Toulon

In the south of France there is no rain. It is a nice indian summer with a decent temperature and a blue sky when the riders are riding through the lavender fields around Grasse towards the harbour town of Toulon. The provence is always welcoming the riders with a nice sunny day. In the streets of Toulon it was a bucnh sprint and Yulian Abdulov managed to beat his fellow sprinters to win his biggest trophy of his career. More will come for this youngster.

  2. Florentin Escalier, Fissa
  3. Franz Amelung, Team JAN

   Uttendorf - Matrei in Osttirol

Where the riders in division two had a sprint race in the south of France the riders in division seven had to travel to Austria. The big race Uttendorf – Matrei in Osttirol is the biggest climbing race and everybody wants to win that trophy. A small group started the last climb and it was Khalifa Salah who managed to stay away to claim another trophy for the highly experience manager of Lots o Huggin Bear. And with his thirtyfive years he could be one of the older riders to win a major race.

  3. Dietrich Zettel, Team BramBros

Race of the Minutemen

As the American race is the highlight of division four it was no surprise there were many teams traveling to America to participate in this great race. A race made for climbers but with enough for sprinters and time trial riders. And with the first stage being a timetrial it was no surprise that Ermanno Expositi took the first leaders jersey for BCTeam. Stage two ended in a bunchsprint and from stage three it was serious. Edi Bacilieri won that stage for Herens Cycling. It was Arend Leenpoels who repeated that in stage four, making it a very exciting tour. The big suprise was on stage five, Malcolm Waltz won this stage, an uphill timetrial and secured the General Classification. On the last stage it was Cao Huixiong who deliverd BrokenChain his first jersey by winning the Sprinting Classification.

   Essex Tour

Just like in division four it was a tour in Top division and it was the small tour through Essex. And like America it was the youngsters who delivered. It was a one, two three again. Stage one is the stage where you need to peak and Glenn Engen peaked for Avataria. Winning the stage and never losing his jersey anymore. Florian Everaerts tried his best winning stage two but it was in vain. The final stage was a bunchsprint but no longer important for the final standings.

  General Classification

  1. Glenn Engen, Avataria
  2. Sven Ulstrup, Nobodies
  3. Florian Everaerts, Andeby

Abdulov should do well if he manages to get a better manager
