Kangaroo Tour - a preview
by Finz, at 7/2-15 - 00:14 GMT

We are Down Under and waiting for the first stage of Kangaroo Tour. The Australian sprinting bonanza is packed with sprinters from all around the world. After examining the teams and give you all an inside look on their changes I would like to give my two cents on who will win the two jerseys this season. Milo Hulschet. It is that simple. Jéger László will be second and third goes to, Adrien Durand.
Sometimes it is easy to predict who wins.

   Quick step minded

With a history as a top flight team Quick step minded was the first to sign up for Kangaroo Tour. With the Hungarian national champion Jéger László they have a great rider that can deliver some stage victories and possible go for a top three finish in the General Classification. With the great support this is a rider that should be watched.

   Eriknogwat

Eriknogwat brought his veteran rider Dirk Horring and he is accompanied by a group of leadouts that can deliver him upfront in the final meters. With a victory in the World Tour he still showed he can win but, his results are lacking lately. Can he give a result for Eriknogwat in ths Australian tour. Miracles are still reported but, never when I was present.

   Cloud Atlas

Your first time is always special and for Cloud Atlas it is his first time that he entered a tour. Feeling excited and in awe the team is experiencing the same as the manager. Oscar Wieringh is the man that will try to get a decent result. He should be able to and there is no pressure. Maybe this will give them a stage victory.

   squadra sora

The Belgian team squadra sora has the two best riders in the tour. Does this mean they are the strongest team. That could be. Aleksander Skytte has the support of Hunter Samuels. Can you wish for more, probably not. Satisfied they will not be when they do not get a stage win, at least. Favourite in my book.

   Optimus Prime

Max Falco is not the strongest sprinter but they will try to grab the Youth Classification on the last stage. When the riders enter Sydney they are challenged by a hilly terrain and this is the favourite part of the tour for Max Falco. Optimus Prime would not be dissapointed if he can win the Youth Classification.

   Holwerda Cycling

Holwerda Cycling is racing with a full national team and has his hopes set on Jan-Joost Batenburg. This pure sprinter is probably giving the team a good set of points and probably a result or two. The team has decent support and we will see him in the middle

part of the tour in front.

   Pomada

Ramazan Aygün is the young star for Pomada and should be able to race for the Youth Classification. His age and support as well as his experience in the OCM calender is probably the reason that they will not earn much money. But he has the future and might come back next season to challenge the Youth Classification.

   BCTeam

Their best bet is the first stage with Edoardo Giofriola. The prologue is where they should earn their money. Nari Iacone lacks the pure sprinting power, time trial training and strength to challenge the hills around Sidney. BCTeam will just miss out for the General Classification.

   Bing Team

Elijah Rogasch is a pure sprinter riding for Bing Team and already gave away his calling card in this season's Norway Tour. Kangaroo Tour is made for a rider like this and we will see him up front when money is on the line. They could go for a Youth Classification and some stage victories. They hills on the last stage will be too hard for him and will see him drop down.

   Sekos Team

Sekos Team of Spain is working for Wannes Bruaene. Well they probably dont have to work hard because Wannes has to deliver on stage one. From there it is hanging on for dear life and dropping on the last stage when they enter the hills. If he can hang on long enough they could go for a top nine finish in the General Classification.

   Manisaspor

Topform is what they have for Erdal Özkan and he needs it. He is a decent sprinter and has some good support with him but he is not very good and the topform should give him that little edge. Some say this is the favourite of the Kangeroo Tour but, we think he could finish third, or lower.

   Silver Giant

The Bosnian champion Slobodan Zukanovic is riding for Silver Giant of Burundi. Being a national champion, Slobodan Zukanovic has the right to wear the fancy jersey of Bosnia. And all he had to do is get on a bike. Why they showed up in Australia instead of watching the Africa Cup is a mistery. No chance given to them.

   Skogs riders

Virgins in the form of Skogs riders as they entered their first tour, correct me if I am wrong Skog, but you stayed under the radar a long time. They have a good sprinter though with Laurian Eminescu and could upset some teams by getting one or two results in the middle stages. Points, money and experience is gathered from this tour. Nice but, not special.

src="http://www.cyclingsimulator.com/Flag/Norway.gif"> Andeby

Johan Skogstad wants to win stage one and he is contested by Leander Korneliussen and Steen Mouritsen. In the end it does not matter for Andeby who of the three wins. They are all in his team. After stage one they will not be seen unless you pay attention to the back of the peloton.

   Riftes Hobbysyklister

Fellow Norwegians of Riftes Hobbysyklister are working for Fabian Aamodt and he is a sprinter and joined with a decent team and is able to secure some nice results for Riftes Hobbysyklister. Could the show themselves as real professionals, if they win a stage then the Hobby should be taken away from their teamname.

   Peloton Pushers

Peloton Pushers is anything but inexperienced in riding tours and they entered with Adrien Durand. A decent sprinter but when the hills enter the scenery he lights up. His goal is to finish fast in the first stages and finish it on the last stage in Sydney. The hills are his favourite terrain and he could be able to win the stage. Will it be enough to win the tour is doubtful.

   Hommerts Cycling Team

Heath Hamilton is riding for Hommerts Cycling Team and the American will try to do good in the first stage. After that they are probably working for Yrjänä Sistonen. He should lead the team to a good result in the General Classification. Difficult to predict their chances, with good support in the flat stages and a great time trial performance they could do it. A bad day on the last day could ruin it all again.

   THE DUTCHIES

Milo Hulscher is the man to beat. That is the latest rumour amongst the other managers. A victory in the Youth Classification and a second place in the General Classification, with last season's winner not present is indeed a good recipe to win it. With twentytwo years he can do the double. He will do the double. Milo Hulscher is the man to beat.

   TJ Banik OKD

Dican Flórián is the sprinter for TJ Banik OKD and he could give them some nice results. With two stage victories in Giro di Sicilia he knows what it is to win and he wants to repeat those successes in Australia. The competition is bigger though and he could go for some results. A surprise victory would be nice.

   Grant Thornton

The Canadian team Grant Thornton took the last spot and with Art Oakley they can go for a decent result in stage one But Douglas McKenzie should do it again for them, he did it before and surprised many sprinters in Norway by winning four stages and the Sprint Classification. Could he upset everybody again?

Nice mention of my boy Durand Finz but you have the Swedish flag next to my team.

Finz, along with the flag errors (lol) you might want to check the "read more" link on the main page. It doesn't work for me while the ones on other article do. Good article btw, I wish my team was in this tour. Good luck to everyone.

NightmareChaos at 20:10 9/2-2015
no issues with the read more link here. And that link ain't mine. That's the site's link.

Super Velo at 00:46 10/2-2015
