What is hot, what is not. Everything that has happened is in the weekly breakaway. It is a bit later then usually, because I was hot last week.
World Championships ITT
The World Championships time trial were held on a technical course around the city centre of Sunderland in England. This course would ask a lot of the riders, it is both technical and demands much from the riders' power on flat roads. It was no surprise that the specialist teams all signed up for this race and positioned their best riders in the team. Multiple winners in one team was more common then unusual. It was Onno Mund who used his powers best and set an unbeatable time early in the race. Only Peter Tuyp and Nathaniel Yde could threaten him but the lost valuable seconds in the final kilometer. Onno Mund gave sprint4live his third World Championship jersey.
General Classification
1. Onno Mund, sprint4live
2. Peter Tuyp, superduke
3. Nathaniel Yde, Matrix team
World Championships
While the time trialists had their race in Sunderland, Newcastle had the honour to host the World Championship Road Race. Rivalry between these two cities gave | | the spectators a great course, one city would not be blamed on giving a lesser race. Around Newcastle the riders were treated on a spectacular course with, some climbing and in the end a sprint for those who survived the hills. With a great atmosphere and good weather it was no surprise that a small group of favourites arrived in Newcastle to sprint for the victory. Noa Vallee jumped first and gained many meters while Garami Gedeon tried to catch him. Unaware of Toli Quesado in his wheel Garami Gedeon approached Noa Vallee and when he was about the catch him. Toli Quesado jumped over the two and secured an easy win. Noa Vallee could hold off Garami Gedeon for second.
General Classification

2. Noa Vallee, Beardy Bikers
3. Garami Gedeon, Drapeu Noir

Classics

The last classic of the season is that of the Giro di Vicenza. The Italian division eight race around the mountain area of Vicenza is always a nice overture of the season. Many climbers from the small teams are eager to do well here to propell their team into higher regions. With Gunnar Seim we have a winner that is very good in the mountains. And he could easily hold off any competition as he eased to the victory in Vicenza. Danut Zafiu was second and that was all he could ask for at this moment. He could beat Kees Bierens in a sprint a duex.

2. Danut Zafiu, sinuske
