  Before boarding to your destination there is always that moment you turn around to see what you leave behind and to give it a last look before you go. Hunderd twenty riders have done that and I hope they said goodbye to their loved ones. Because looking back and realizing there is nobody there but in your mind is not a good start.
  
  Twenty teams have lined up for this five stage race through Australia along the east coast, from Gold Coast to Sydney. A sprinters ball with a finale that tests the strongest riders in the peloton. Four sprint stages and a final stage around the hills of Sydney to decide who will be kissed and who will be left alone in the dark.
  
   Team WonderDee
  
  Team WonderDee was the first to join this race and they have Knud Øgendahl signed up as captain. A very decent sprinter that already had success in Volta ao Porto this season. With his topform to be used this rider is one of the sprinters we could see high up in the results.
  
   Dormilon
  
  Fernando Allende is the sprinter who should give Dormilon the points and glory in Kangaroo Tour. A nice rider that can sprint for a stage victory. Lack of support could prove a mistake or a genius tactical move. We believe it is a mistake, surprise us.
  
   TeamEric
  
  TeamEric has a great Belgian star ready for a tour like this. Godfried Engelborgh is ready to win at least one stage. He would not be able to secure a victory as he will loose to much in the last stage and can not gain much in the first stages.
  
   Hells Grannies
  
  With Tapuwa Mathema they have a great rider as captain. Raced in Cymru Taith this season in division two and now in Kangaroo Tour. He is able to win a stage and probably stay in front on the last stage. This rider should be able to secure a nice result for Hells Grannies, top nine in General Classification is expected.
  
   Twente Cycling Team
  
  With a maiden win in Race of the Minutemen, Roman Petrescu can try to claim more fame to his name. The only stage he could succeed is the last stage around Sydney and the first stage. The celebration in America would probably prevent a good result.
  
   Vientiane Cycling
  
  With

Keegan Shuba, Vientiane Cyclings has an allrounder in his team that can finish up front in any flat stage in this tour. With his power he can probably do good in the last stage and if his first prologue goes well, we might see him on top of the podium if he triggers his topform.
  
   Los Belgicos
  
  Los Belgicos should go for the Youth Classification with Godfried Terwenhout. He only turned twenty five this season so he should be able to go for the victory there. As a pure sprinter he is able to end up front on the first four stages. Decent support should bring him a victory.
  
   Lots o Huggin Bear
  
  With a last minute injury all plans for a nice tour could be thrown away. Fathi Alsharaa did not see the sharp bend on his last race and crashed. All eyes are now on Luis Sherteel, could he repeat his surprising result in Giro di Montelbano in Kangaroo Tour.
  
   THE DUTCHIES
  
  When we discuss Youth Classification we should not forget Nathan Melker, only twenty two and already captain for THE DUTCHIES. Finished his training this season and still awaiting his first victory this tour could be his breakthrough. With one or two victories he would be very pleased and it is not even strange to think that could happen.
  
   logoloos
  
  logoloos is having Keith Randolph in topform and a great team spirit. Keith already won two races and a classic this season. Will he be the surprise guest here. We doubt that he can hang on as he is very tired at the moment and a top nine finish would be enough.
  
   Team JAN
  
  Franz Amelung should do Jakke's dirty work again. The German sprinter is very well suited for this race and he is a favourite for winning a stage. He will probably not finish high up the table but, a victory here is enough for Team JAN at the moment.
  
   Super Velo
  
  Will Super Velo go for Fabio Laacaro as their captain with full support or will they have a team that jumps with every breakaway. With three breakaway victories this season, the latter looks more realistic but, we hope that Fabio gets the support he needs to get some decent results.
  
   Rabo utrecht

CT
  
  Erik de Kelper could arrive in topform. If he does he would have a great position to win a stage or even the first Kangaroo Tour. He can win a sprintrace and with his support he could even manage to stay up front in the final decisive stage.
  
   English Sprinting Team
  
  Will the full English squad of English Sprinting Team race for Rufus Hammon finally or will Carroll Mullan be the one that scores the points again. Hammon could go for a victory in the Youth Classification but Mullan, Mullan can still win a stage. Who would the manager pick.
  
   fc barca
  
  Belgian fc barca relies on Portuguese champion Graciano Sa. A great timetrial specialist and they want to win the first stage. With only twentysix years of age they can have earn enough money to raise a statue for this rider in the future.
  
   Onie
  
  Onie has wondered into a sign in moment and decided he would join with his newly trained Farruco Kiko. They will not do their best and could be seen as the team that stole your place.
  
   Pomada
  
  Pomada has Cobus Rijkaard as captain. A Dutch sprinter who has had some nice results but will most likely fall short to surprise the spectators with a victory. A top nine result in the sprint stages is possible. At least one or two.
  
   Darkwave Recordings
  
  Guðmundur Þórmarsson is a great rider for this Tour. If they planned it well they have a future winner in their midst. With thirty years of age he is experienced and is in top form. He could out sprint all the youngsters and maybe even take the General Classification.
  
   Peloton Pushers
  
  Vidar Øye will captain the team of Peloton Pushers. They have signed up a tour of free men and they will probably try to stay in a breakaway to win some points. A nice sprinter but not good enough to score results in Australia.
  
   PCMGeeks
  
  The Danes are represented by PCMGeeks. Marinus Wesveld is their captain and he has a great final jump when he sprints. He could surprise his team with a victory and a decent General Classification in the end. Not very excited about this team but they could surprise in a stage.
