Vuelta de los Castillos
Twenty teams signed up for the Spanish climbing tour Vuelta de los Castillos. Most teams have had previous experience and know what they can expect. It will be a battle between the climbers for the General Classification and with Ola Skår, Team Unibet, we have a nice leader. Biggest rivals are Galtero Quevedo, NECFTW and Mitja Škerjanc, KK Fajfa.
Brian Hitchens, Jonas Pro Cycling, wants a second Sprinting Classification but Melvyn Jegou, Drapeau Noir, is bringing his youthful enthousiasm to bring home the jersey for France.
Jeremy Grundin, Team Celeste, could be the best youngster if he can beat Drazen Cetnik, Red Star.
We will see what this tour will bring and will keep you informed in next week´s update.

Classics
Critérium la Grasse
With a nice parcours around the mountains of Southern France the organizers tested the strength of many riders in division four. With a nice trophy waiting it was expected that it was not given away easy. The first mountains were passed when the peloton cruised behind a breakaway of four. When the final climb was approaching the breakaway was reeled in and Yannis Van Gysel started his adventure. Leaving the peloton and starting at the foot of the mountain with just fifteen seconds ahead. He emerged on top with over one minute, winning Criterium la Grasse. Federico Vaquero and Donzel Gaite took second and third and were not happy about the difference.

Bergen Rundtur
The division one classic Bergen Rundtur started with many great hill specialists at the start. The weather was very good and it promised to be a great race. With some early breakaways there was always something to do and the spectators did not get bored. In the final kilometers the riders are challenged with some final hills that make the race explode and it was again on the second last climb that the captains emerged. Benjamin Kervel tried his luck to ditch the others but he was overtaken by Georgy Polivanov and Otavio Velasques, those three would start the final climb and it was Otavio who left the others behind. A solid victory for him and WalrusPT. With Georgy Polivanov second and Benjamin Kervel third

2. Georgy Polivanov, WV De Dommel
3. Benjamin Kervel, NECFTW
Tour of Hawaii
With sun, beaches and grass skirts it is certain we are in Hawaii. The tropical venue in division three. This race has everything in it and most of the time a rider wins that can do everything, a bit of climbing, a decent sprint and maybe some hills. If a rider fails in one of those categories it will never win this race. This year is no exception again, Floris Kostermans was the fastest in a small group that survived. Beating Augusto Campelo in the sprint and Ottar Strykarsson could not even do that anymore as he is no sprinter and gave all his effort to the climbs in the beginning.
