   Nederlands Tour

Six stages in the Netherlands with flat stages, wind and a difficult stage in Limburg. The first stage is vital in gaining enough seconds on the competition. And it was Team Revolutie who managed a win in Groningen with Dan Krogstad. With a second victory on stage two and defending the Generall Classification, Team Revolutie looked like he was winning this tour easily. Rigana won stage three with Team Revolutie in second and Gerd Alards winning stage four again. This was vital for his success. Gerd Alards consolidated his lead with winning stage five and the last stage was won by Rudolf Matejka, the former winner of Nederlandse Tour. Gerd Alards won, ahead of Rudolf Matejka, Luveaucek and Einvarður Unnsteinnsson, Team AEK. The Youth Classification was also won by Gerd Alards ahead of Rudolf Matejka and Barlomiej Tokarz, Red Star.

   Fast on Wheels

It was a very lively race on Danish soil for the Fast on Wheels edition of this season. In the end it was Gerard Cygan, Red Brigade CT, who took every jersey in the end. The story about the sign up is a special one as Red Brigade CT almost missed out from Fast on Wheels as he could not attend the first sign up meeting and was a bit disappointed. It worked out well in the end. With a victory in stage two Gerard Cygan made is desires known. Heinz Gleisenberg, Allgäu, was with two victories close but his time trial made him loose the tour. Leander Nymoen, Team Legends, and Arvid Strand, Team Drop It completed the podium for the Generall Classification.

  World Tour

   Rotterdam - Amsterdam

  The

Dutch sprinters race for the World Tour had a dismal amount of racing at the start. Those who entered were eager to go for the victory though. With a race from the biggest harbour in Europe to the capital of sin, the teams with sprinters had every reason to keep the pace high. An early breakaway took ten minutes but when that was reached it was time to get the pace up. The race started to progress and the breakaway was slowly been reeled in. When Amsterdam was reached only one minute remained and it was time to get the sprinters in front. With two kilometers left the last of the breakaway had to thank each other as a stampede of peloton passed them and raced towards the finish line. It was the USA who delivered Karl Hall very good and he could easily beat the man in form, home rider Gerd Alards. Third was Fonzo Meija of Spain.

   Ningde - Luoyuan

Chinese organizers had designed a challenging stage for the Ningde – Luoyuan race again. With some hills, this race is for the strong sprinters who can survive some hills along the stage. The pure sprinters are not ready for this and sixteen teams entered the race. With the hills halfway and at three quarters the peloton was thined out when the final sprint was being developed. Australia has a great team ready and had the race in control. It was Nathan Jennings who sprinted away with fivehunderd meters left and no rider could challenge him. Culvert Roberts came in second and Azmizan Yusoff was a surprising third.

   Budapest - Debrecen

The third edition of Budapest – Debrecen had everything to be a classic except the amount of teams entered. Only eleven teams were at the start but they made a great race for the viewers. With an almost complete stage it was no surprise that it ended in a sprint in Debrecen. Surprisingly it was the Faroe

Islands who could launch Einvarður Unnsteinnsson and he could stay ahead of a stampede of riders. It was Xia Xiaolong who finished second just ahead of Velentinus Jonasson.

  Classics

   Orel – Kursk Classic

The only Russian classic is the Orel-Kursk Classic in division four. With many sprinters working towards this race, the pace is very high every season. In Kursk the riders await a long stretched, Soviet Union style, boulevard where they have to reach from deep within to show a decent sprint. Many riders have used their energy already in the hills and climbs the race delivered in the beginning. The sprint started when Abraham Marin launched an attack and Germano Boaventura jumped after him. Lambert Scown was right behind them and it was Abraham who cracked first, resulting in a smooth victory for Germano Boaventura ahead of Lambert Scown. Abraham Marin could hold on to third.
