   Velikiye Luki - Gruzdovo
The first World Tour race of the season is always in Russia. The cobble greats of division A are ready to battle the streets of Velikiye Luki and around Gruzdovo. The weather was good for the riders with a nice sun and no winds. Nothing like a good old cobble race should be. This resulted in the fact that up to the end no real battles where fought and the captains could preserve their strength for the finish. A group of big riders approached at the finish and it was best cobbler, without a big win, Bartoli Rivera, omega pharma lotto, who won for Spain. He beat Norwegian Vidar Øye, Peloton Pushers, and Theodoor Helwig, ekaitz team, of the Netherlands.

   Lozuvatka - Kryvyi Rih
As the weather was beautiful in Russia, Ukraine gave a complete different scenery. Rain and wind were beating on the riders as the left Lozuvatka on route to Kryvyi Rih. These conditions made many riders abandon the race in search of a warm drink and a blanket. In the end only a handful arrived

and those riders came alone or in small groups. Swedish Magnus Nordman, Caixa Galicia, was the strongest and conquered weather and stones. He was ready long before Viljo Teravainen, omega pharma lotto, secured second spot for Finland with a surprising third spot for Yew Meng Saiful Anuar Aziz, Lastbjørn BMX Spårts, of Malaysia

   Bukarest - Sinaia
Is there room for a World Tour as three nations forfeit in division A, that was the topic of the day in Romania. USA, Norway and Poland did not show leaving only seventeen nations at the start. In this quality drained peloton there still had to be a winner and the big climbs made sure that not everybody could reach the finish. The one that gained most from the quality drain in this race was Rafael Zandstra, De Pedaal, of the Netherlands. He beat a great climber from Japan, Maruyama Dai, SilenceLotteFan, and Portuguese favourite Alfeu Freitas, Lusitano. Maybe next time we see a full line up, let us hope so.

   Classica Verona
Verona, the city of romance, where Romeo met Julia and sang for

her his love songs. Here we witnessed a great division B battle in the mountains around the city. The steep climbs and hills lay in a scenic surrounding and this Italian beauty gave wings to the local man. Alfonso Melazzo, peddelen, secured a super victory for Italy in Italy. The crowed and the team were all ecstatic and happy. He was the best of a small group beating Irish, Abel Wilkin, Treaty City CC, and Hungarian Csatlós Attila, Szirmai Vilagos.

   Sapporo - Mount Asahi
The first division C race saw only five nations at the start. This small group had to thank Venezuela, China, Kazahkstan, Wales and Argentina for that. The race itself was still very interesting to watch as many teams wanted to score as much points as possible. At Mount Asashi the biggest winner was Albania, with three riders in the top nine. Viktor Andoni, Albatros, was the winner and gave Albania the most points. Finishing second was Roman Rubiera, Penicos Avulso, for Puerto Rico as he beat Turkish Hakan Mikail, AMT racing. These nations divided the top nine places with Hong Kong claiming eight spot.
