Welcome to the sixth edition of the Fast On Wheels Tour.
The first twelve teams entered within two minutes of sign up. The tour seems extra popular this year with teams like Onie, FFL, don hamstre team and NightmareChaos joining in. Not to mention last years winners Storm Sandefjord.
The first stage of the youngest tour in OCM is a small 5Km Prologue. It takes the riders around the small sea port town of Esbjerg. The General Classification riders will not want to lose too much time and it is a chance for the timetrial riders to get some glory. The favorites for this stage are Thorsten Roberts, Optimus Prime, Tomas Pakuleviciute, BCTeam, and, Benjamin Zkumavka, FFL.
The second stage starts in Esbjerg and ends in an industrial and cultural town called Holstebro. This stage should be perfect for the sprinters to get their first points towards the sprinting classification. The riders crossing the line first could be Anton Ugolnikov, NightmareChaos, Vidar Lien, Optimus Prime and, Victor Pardo, Onie.
The third stage is an interesting one. It should offer another chance for the sprinters to get some more points towards the Sprinting Classification, but a few General Classification riders could get in the mix to steal some seconds from their opponents. The stage ends at Århus, the second biggest city in Denmark. There are hills to get over and that may prove to be the tricky part for the sprinters. Main riders for this stage could be Terkel Lindegaard, Sons of the Desert, Folkert Gerrits,V02maXXers, and Vidar Lien, Optimus Prime.
Stage four is the King Stage. This stage is meant for the hill riders in the peloton. It will separate the General Classification contenders and open up the time gaps. The forecast for the wind is extremely high as well, so there is a big chance for time gaps to appear. The stage finishes in Vejle, known for its location , surrounded by hills. Favorites for this stage are Terkel Lindegaard, Sons of the Desert, Folkert Gerrits, V02maXXers and Rostam Sirjani, don hamstre team.
Number five will be the stage where the tour is won or lost. A 37 kilometer time trial in the town of Odense. The time trial itself has some hills in it, but it’s predominantly flat, with some technical areas. This will be the stage the time trailers want to win, but General Classification contenders in TF will be near the top too. It is hard to say who the | | favorites will be but Henrik Aronsen, Team Seidel, Nathan Mulder ,Onie and Tomas Pakuleviciute, BCTeam.
The final stage of the tour is setup for the sprinters to decide the Sprinting Classification. It’s the longest stage on the tour, at 192 km, and the finish into København is extremely technical. Hardly any wind predicted for this stage so it’ll be close between the sprinters. Should be looking to win this stage Victor Pardo, Onie, Lambert Scown, English Sprinting Team and Anton Ugolnikov, NightmareChaos.
