The Welsh tour is about to start for the seventeenth time in succession. One of the main goals for some of the division two teams. Three days through the hills of Wales, from north to south and passing some of the great sceneries of Wales. A brief preview on the team that particpate with their aces and possible chances on something special.

   Rigana
The South African squad from Rigana is a European flavoured team. Italian Peppino Ingarro looks to be the man for the sprints. And he is supported by many great sprinters. Stage is probably a goal for this team. And if he can do good in the time trial he might be a surprise jersey winner.

   Burren Connemara
The Irish squad of Burren Connemara is ready to take on this battle. With their young rider Albert Sandor this team wants to win the Youth Classification. This rider is very well prepared and is an outstanding hiller. In the time trial he should not loose much and he even could be an overall winner.

   Sprintje bergop
Olaf van Damme is a great rider. Fully prepared and possibly in the form of his life. This rider gets a little star behind his name because he wants to win the General Classification. The only way he could fail is the potential weak team behind him but, it is only three days.

   Cremtec
There are only a few riders in the OCM calender that do not need an introduction. Jude Evans is one of them. He won tours, stages and one day races. A longtime national champion and a favourite for every race he enters. He wants the get another result in the General Classification.

   EpoTopTeam
The defending champion has returned. Reinhard Holtslag is bringing a superb team with him to defend his title. Fully prepared and in great shape this is one of the riders every team should pay attention to. He will be battling for the first place after three days. At least that is what he wants.

   Ponika
Croatian champion and last seasons Monte Rosa winner Vid Lazic leads the team of Ponika. After helping his teammates in Switzerland this year and thus not been able to defend his title he expects they will support him to the fullest. If this rider is in topform he could surprise everybody on the hilly stage and when he is gone, he is gone.

   PEKAC B
  A

new sprinter has emerged from the talent school of PEKAC B. Bohuslav Racko is a great sprinter with a bright future ahead of him. And he wants to do very well in Wales. The goal is the Sprinters Classification. And when that is in reach he might even want to gamble something on the General Classification.

   old town racing club
The Scottish outfit of old town racing club did not travel far to the starting point of the Cymru Taith.
With Griswald Pepper they have a great homegrown rider that could battle for the Overall Classification and the Youth Classification. Only twenty-three years old and a great overall rider. With the support he brings we should expect him to battle for the first places.

   California Mist
Former Fast on Wheels Sprinting Classification winner Kristiaan Roels is entering with his American team this season. The Sprinting Classification is what he is after and, perhaps, the final stage. He just have to do good in the prologue halfway.

   IndieRock
Italian veteran IndieRock has entered Eliot Wacker as his captain. Will he be in topform this time or not. If he is he will do very well. His team should be guiding him to a good result after three days.

   Team Majones
This Norwegian outfit enters with a well known figure in Wales. Wit Pelgrims, a multiple podium finisher, is captain for Team Majones. Will this be his year that he can finally stand on the highest spot? After a third, a second and a fourth place this rider deserves the victory. But to deserve something and to get something is something different. Wit Pelgrims must really work hard for his deserved victory, we hope he can manage.

   Cycling Nieuwegein
A nice team with a nice captain. And they will go for a nice result. This team will really want to win a race again but, I fear it will not be this one. They have a bad vibe around them and they arrived with the wrong materials. They will be lucky to get a top nine place.

   Conero cycling team
From Italy we see another team. Conero cycling team. They are a mixture of opportunists and freewheelers. They will try to break away early and upset the rest of the peloton. And if they succeed in the first stage they might be able to hold on to that lead. Our predictions are, however, that they should be happy with every point they can get.

nonnies
Their slogan is “You ain't gettin NUN” and that is what they want to tell every other team in this tour. With Gracjan Sowa they have a nice rider for a Generall Classification. He will be in great shape at the start. Rumour has it that he has already used up his topform. If he had that little extra he would have won it. But for now, a good result is something they can look forward to.

   Wheels of Steel
Stage two, when that one starts all eyes are aimed at Wheels of Steel. His team of timetrial riders will fail very hard on stage one and three. But they want stage two. And they want to succeed with a one-two-three. They have the riders for it. Let us see if they can manage.

   SilenceLotteFan
Sebastiao Moura is at an age that it is one of those last times he can win a great race. Wales is here for him to finally earn that special jersey. He has a nice team and needs to get some time in the first stage to stay ahead in the second stage. The offices give him a good chance on getting a top nine result in the end. A victory however is far away.

   Darkwave Recordings
We have seen a Scottish and an Irish team already, finally we have an English team in Wales. This English team is having a great rider from Portugal as their captain. Luis Landim should be seen as one of the favourites this Cymru Taith. He could be in topform and when he is, two stars for this rider as the future winner.

   Manisaspor
Turkish team Manisaspor is having a Swedish climber as their captain. With some nice support he could upset some riders in the first stage. He will loose the time gained on the second and third stage though. A stage result is possible but a great result in the end is far away. But we are willing to be surprised by this personal favourite.

   Wizzyweb
Dutch Wizzyweb is hoping for some nice results from Jose Aguilar. Just too old for the Youth Classification and not in great shape after a decent Volta ao Porto we should still see him upfront on stage three. A full blood sprinter is always in front when it is a bunch sprint.

   trackstah07
The love is great between the team and its captain. Trackstah07 and Sebastian Amor are a match made in heaven. Will he be able to return all the affection he has received from his manager and give back some results? He could do good in the first stage and suprise in the second. But I fear this partnership will end in a bittersweet parting sooner or later.
