CoN Delhi
The first race in India brings the riders many mountain roads. And the mountains were tough to most riders. In the end only a few were left up front. Peter-Jan van de Wal was the strongest from them all and conquered the mountains of India. He won for Belgium the first race. Rolf Enoch secured a second place for England before Piet van Dongen, the Netherlands.
CoN Beijing
The race in Beijing was a spectacle for the fans. Riders pushed themselves to unseen limits and speeds to stay up front. The only problem riders could face was not to be able to follow the pace and swept backwards. In the final lap there was still a big group and all the big sprinters had their lead outs ready. The fastest of them all was Fermin Moya of Spain. He beat Anton Ugolnikov of Russia and Portuguese Arcilio Olaio.
CoN Washington City TT
From China the peloton moves to America. The timetrial riders looked ready for the distance in Washington. The individuals had all their own approach but the English approach worked best. Dorian Shanda and Theodore Castle scored a one-two for the redcoats. Riemer Veneberg was best of the rest and secured a third place for the Netherlands. The English party was huge afterwards. Revenge?
CoN Sydney
The best hillers of the nations arrived in Sydney. The CoN is halfway and now is the time to try to get back on England. If there are nations that want to win this seasons CoN a win is all that counts. After a great race Ludger van der Aa arrived solo at the finish giving the Netherlands a much needed win. Giovanni | | Faulk finished second for USA and Ejnar Nordby gave Norway their first result.
CoN Paris
In Paris the riders faced the great cobblestones. Only the best cobblers were at the start here and what a race it was. Rain and mud was added to the cobbles of France and many riders cried on their bikes. After many kilometres that seemed the hardest in their whole career they reached the finish. Reid Lenard was preparing specially for this race and it payed of. He won for USA and beat Rogerio Echave of Spain and Kasper Lukasik of Poland.
CoN Rio de Janeiro
Brazilian mountains gave the riders memories of India. This very hard race is the second last race in the CoN. The Brasilian sun was shining bright in the sky on the heads of the riders. Giving this race and extra dimension. But it did not really matter. England controlled the peloton and made sure no break away was able to get away. Rolf Enoch made sure that the work was not in vain. He won in Rion de Janeiro and made sure England won the Clash of Nations. Pacal Parcalab secured a second place for Romania and Nate Whelan finished third for USA.
CoN Cape Town
The final race in the CoN. Cape Town welcomed the sprinters of OCM. England already secured the win but could they extent their lead over the rest. England did not really gave much effort in this race so it was wide open. This was a very hectic race. In the end it was Polish Wincenty Twardowski who took to most risks and won the race. He beat Yannick Elssen of Belgium he could hold of Winfried Reinhold of Germany.
