Essex Tour - The battle for the Seaxes
by Yuri, at 9/11-12 - 23:28 GMT

Standing in the centre, where all civilized life in Britain has once started.
Colchester, the womb of Brittish culture, again will give birth to the epic race we now know as Essex tour.
A race through the meadows and lush fields of the dairy farm of London.
Following the footsteps of Boudica in opposite direction to Saffron Walden.
This race brings a salute to those who fell in Camulodunum, Roman Colchester.
  Both Romans and Anglis.
With the end reached on the first stage we arrive in Saffron Walden. The town under the patronage of Geoffrey de Mandeville, first Earl of Essex.
As we have finished we have a clear view already who is hot and who is not.
The Essex hills have cut through the peloton like three notched seaxes.
A rider that can not handle the fierce hills in these surroundings is without any chance after stage one. And even the medicinal saffron

crocus can not heal the wounds that some riders might experienced.
My six sestertius will be on the following riders that might shine here; Evan Tomkins from Gradient Levellers Thodoros Drimalas from Kremer and Marius Lassen from Hard gaat ie.

Maldon is home to the second stage of this Essex torture. Maldon will host the timetrial. The second stage that should give the specialists the chance to get closer or give the winners from yesterday the possibility to extend their lead.
But like the old days, this is the town that can beat off a Viking raid. Maldon, a royal seat, can again mint someone's heroic tale in gold.
Will there be an English victory, like Edward the Elder did in 924, or will a Dane win this time like they did in 991.
My six Hacksilver will be on the following rider; Sandro Montelbano from Matrix team, Benjamin Zkumavka from ABK and Lars Gjarde, Hard Gaat

Ie.

As we are continuing to the next stage we notice that we have reached the final stage.
From Maldon to Chelmsford. We leave the seaside behind us and head inland to the centre of Essex. Chelmsford has hold the county seat of Essex for over 800 years.
Being for a brief time the capital of England, Chelmsford was always involved in Brittish history. As a city with a history of violence as a huge home for the defence-related industry in Britain, it has had its fame and violence over the years.Who will be victorious in this captial.
My six pence are on Lean Ahnfeldt-Mollerup of ABK, Tadaki Ko from Lusitano and Rytis Kondrotas of Red Star.

These three days will pass like, very, very fast. So for those who are not mentioned I wish you all the luck and, prove me wrong in my predictions.
