Season 21 - a recap (Part 4)
by Yuri, at 27/9-12 - 22:10 GMT

Season 21 is over, and as usual is time for a review! We decided that this time we don’t want to make a huge article. So we’re making 4 articles divided in Tours, Top division classics, 2nd division classics and extras! Now it’s time for the extras! Big transfers, amazing management and huge comebacks. We have it all in here!

  Day 49 -
Lack of funds is something pretty normal to week teams inside OCM. But what’s strange in all this is that this time it was Ursus RT to announce it! That’s right this Top division team will shut their doors and all the riders were sold out! Here are some achievements from this team who was in the game since Season 9!!! Perm Tour YC, WC both RR and ITT top 3s and Nederlandse Tour YC. Here aren’t their numerous Top 9 in classics and also some victories that must be considered very good for any team. Here are the riders they sold: Gert Sijmonds for 540k to Yuri SuperTeam, Hubert Bauwens for 268k to Joss, Gregor Bartenstein for 265k to peddelen, Dom Morrison for 250k to Jonas Pro Cycling, Kasjan Jarosz for 165k to SilenceLottoFan and Mzantundu Arries for 130k to Team Red Gold green. We all hope to see you back one day!!!

Day 51 - It’s always hard when you have a 2 way team and you have to decide which one to sell in order to make the other stronger. That was the case inside Yuri SuperTeam which sold his climbing squad in order to make sprinting stronger. This happens when a manager decided that having 2 avarage teams is not enough. Also both his captains (Joop Daems and Patya Gordeyeva) were getting too old and it was time to replace them. So this is how it happens: Aguinaldo Fernandes moved to Hommerts Cycling Team for 150k, Carlino Debiase moved to Die Tour Phantome for 115k and the captain Joop Daems was released to the market. looks like no one wanted him... Sad.

Day 52- Another big important day inside OCM! For now one all the teams will be allowed to have a better contact with young riders that can sign up for the team they

have been connected. Big talents will be found and many more youngsters will have the chance to complete their dream! Become a professional cyclist! You can read more here: http://www.cyclingsimulator.com/forum/announcements/106423

  Day 52 -
Otto Beier is a luxembourger sprinter with amazing skills, but not that known inside OCM. He ride for hohoi all his life and now he was offered a millionair contract in top team! That team is Greenride and it’s said they payd around 600k for him. Did he delivered? So far 6 Top9s in 6 races for Greenride. Amazing!!!

  Day 67 -
Having a 56 AV rider in a team is not a thing everyone can say! Strange is when someone tried to sell them while still too young to retire. More strange is no one wanting to buy him! This is the case from Nico Woltelboer who after a hard time negotiating left Hommerts Cycling Team to join Team Tirilla for something around 290k! Well if you look at his results you might understand this... Just 1 Top 3 and 11 other Top 9 in 2 season isn’t enough for a rider like him! Wll know that he is in his new team, in just 6 races he already has 2 victories. Now the question is... Was the rider the problem or was it the team?

  Day 70 -
As already told in the last review part, today was Team Caridade’s last race! The team was shut down and all the riders retired due to some serious problems inside the team involving everyone in a long and hard process in the courthouse. The accusation? Too much “caridade” (charity) in some businesses. Things like this should never happen and if you considering doing something like this... Think again!

  Day 71 -
Team Telek@m announced that they are back! And with more than 1M in their pockets it will rain riders into the team! In fact in all riders transfer that they wanted, they won it and so they started building the team and still have a lot more money to spend! The biggest names are: Nathaniel Carroll (from alberta 1 for 600k), Tony Butler (from Wizzyweb for 220k) and

Solomon Henschel (with 37 yo from Team Jayco for an unknown price). We expect to see more from this team which is clearly triyng to get stronger in sprints, climbs and TTs!

  Day 71 -
Germany Tour winner from season 15, Vitaliy Bayer moved from Gradient Levellers to Hommerts Cycling Team for 225k. Bayer’s age (30 yo) and his recent lack of important results mde Mr. Tim Johnson move towards his new captain Oswald Hudler and give him full support. Someone had to leave... And Bayer was the chosen one. At least he’ll have a good chance to lead a Top division team and still have time for good results... Who knows. He already won in Germany once...

  Day 71 -
Again this day will be remembered. This time Tokyo Bikes, a more or less unknown team decided to close the doors. What is special in that? The gems he had! Brian Hitchens moved to Jonas Pro Cycling for 550k, Edward Van Baerlem moved to Team Tirilla for 290k and Okamoto Yukio to team tdb for 165k! All in all they made 1M just in 3 transfers! All together they made 14 races already and until now they have not a single result. Money given away or are they preparing something for the future? Let’s hope it’s the 2nd option!

  Day 83 -
Jan-Olof Holm moved from mirabelle to Rigana for an unknown price. 2nd move in just 3 seasons for a talent like this is very strange. In mirabelle he only won once but got many results! Now in Rigana he won his 1st race in his 1st participation for the new team... But that’s season 22 :)

Now, this were the extras in Season 21. At least this is all I could remember. How will it be on the 22nd? Good luck to everyone, and let’s write more history!

Hope you liked the reviews! Your hard work is never forgotten in here and maybe you’ll be here net season... Good luck in the 22nd season!

Rigana at 10:24 29/9-2012
Well done Yuri. I was actually surprised you knew about Holm. The price was 400k by the way. Steep but he has started well, 1st and 9th in his first two races.

Jonas Pro Cycling at 09:57 30/9-2012
Very nice read these four articles, and great with a transfer overview. Hitchens got injuried in his first race he captained, so no real chance to score yet.
